Sorry it’s a long post today.

Wow where do we start for this weekend it’s not often we get a weekend where so many runners achieved amazing times with new personal bests galore.

I must mention the great showing the club has had at the Ryston x-country series well done all club members I’m sure Michael Protheroe or John Robert Richardson will provide a better update than I can.
Onto a truly amazing weekends achievements starting with Ryan Lingwood flying the flag at the X-country Championships at Loughborough Ryan finished in 187th place and was the 3rd Norfolk runner home great work Ryan.
At the rearranged Marriott’s Way half marathon Todd Lake stormed around the muddy trail route to finish in 5th place overall in a time of 1.30.57.
Also at the same event but taking on the full marathon Kelly Mitchell 4.52.26 and Henrietta Green 5.12.05 Pb really dug deep to post great times in difficult trail running conditions a fantastic effort by both with this also being Henrietta’s first ever marathon hopefully not the last one either.
At the Hunny Bell x-country 5 mile romp across the Stody estate Howard Bailey 29.47 finished in 4th place overall also finishing for Dereham Grant King 39.06,Richard Fletcher 42.44 and Gill Woodhouse 47.13 these runners must really like water and mud as I’ve heard it’s not a easy course to run.
Keeping to the trail theme Alan Anthony 2.02.27 and in her first race as a Dereham runner Stephanie Walsingham 1.59.20 (new pb) took on the Thetford Trail half marathon.
Sarah Lake 1.05.35 travelled to Stamford to tackle a new event the Burghley 7 miler described as truly amazing 7 mile run through the Burghley Estate well done to you both.
A large party of runners travelled across the border to the Fens to compete in the Cambridge Half a fast course with the potential to post a great time a new course route for this year which didn’t really disappoint as the terrain is mostly flat first back for Dereham Ash Gilbert 1.24.04 a new pb for Ash great running to post such a quick time also with pb’s were Andrew Hood 1.33.55,Philip Websdale 1.44.12,Jonathan Burton 1.44.39,Sally Juby 1.45.03,Robert Harmer 1.45.38 and Adrian Hollis 1.46.48.
Louise Rowe 1.51.25 and Paul Richardson 1.58.10 posted course pb’s and lastly Darren Easter 1.25.39 who didn’t post a pb but still managed a great finish time well done all at Team Drac be proud of your achievements over this weekend it’s not often we have so many of you post such great times over varied terrains and at different distances.
