Dereham 10 Mile Cancelled

Due to the situation regarding COVID19/Coronavirus and the uncertainty of how the easing of lockdown may happen, the decision that the 10 mile road race will be cancelled for this year has been made..

Obviously it is a difficult decision to take, but uncertainty, together with peoples safety, is paramount in making the decision. The race obviously uses Neatherd High School as its race HQ, and at this time, I am unsure as to how or whether the school will make third party bookings during the easing of lockdown.

I am now in the stage of talking to Norfolk Road Running Committee, also Neil Featherby at Sportlink (as it was scheduled as a Grand Prix event) to advise them of this decision. Jon Beverly (Total Race Timing) is also being informed so we can arrange for refunds/transfers to those who have entered.

I acknowledge that this is difficult decision to make but hopefully we can look forward to holding the event again in 2021.
