I have taken much of the following information from notes written by Gill Boucher and passed to me by Carol Campbell-Smith in 2010 in anticipation of the club's Jubilee year in 2011 when it was first proposed to write the history of Dereham Runners. As this did not happen I will attempt to now record what is known about the early years of our club.

A big well done to ALL those who turned out today for the 4th leg of the Ryston runners cross country series.

On a freezing winters morning Dereham Runners enthusiasm for parkrun was still as strong as ever.

On the parkrun circuit there are many types of courses. Some may be tough physical challenges such as found at Great Yarmouth North Beach and at Sheringham. Others may be less physical but ideal for speed.

New Year's day a time for reflection and contemplation. We may look back on our achievements in the past twelve months and set goals for the new year.
